Editorial policy

The Everyday Systems aims to make practical information clear, proportionate, and useful. We distinguish editorial guidance from commercial material and correct meaningful errors when they are brought to our attention.

Accuracy and clarity

We check that instructions are understandable and that claims are presented with appropriate context. We avoid unsupported promises and make uncertainty clear when a recommendation depends on personal circumstances. Readers can use the Contact page to flag an error or ask for clarification.

Independence and partner material

Editorial decisions are separate from partnership discussions. Any paid, gifted, or otherwise partner-supported article or placement is identified clearly as sponsored or partner material, as applicable. A collaboration does not guarantee editorial endorsement, and commercial relationships do not determine our independent coverage.

Corrections and illustrations

When we confirm a material factual error, we update the affected text and add a correction note where appropriate. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that is the case, the illustration is labelled. Illustrations are not evidence for the advice in an article.
